Challenge

Translate decades of infant mortality research into a credible public-facing advocacy site while incorporating repeated client feedback, restructuring dense content, and keeping the message clear for media, policymakers, and the public.

I Owned

Hand-coded the website from scratch, directed the design evolution across three versions, rebuilt the five-page information architecture, implemented responsive layouts, and developed both the animated counter and the Chart.js historical timeline.

Outcome

3 approved client-reviewed versions led to a live 5-page advocacy website with a stronger academic visual language, clearer navigation, and live data features that support the petition experience.

3 Client Reviews

Refined through three rounds of client feedback, adjusting structure, content emphasis, visual tone, and feature presentation at each stage.

03

5-Page Architecture

Reorganized across five distinct pages — Homepage, Mission, About, Books, and Contact — so each section had a clear role in the advocacy narrative.

Visual Redesign

Shifted the visual system from red-and-gray to a maroon-and-tan editorial palette with academic journal-style typography to signal credibility.

Data Visualization

Built an animated post-Dobbs counter and a Chart.js timeline spanning 70+ years of infant mortality data to make the evidence immediate.
