Chicago Park District manages over 600 parks, 26 miles of lakefront, and hundreds of seasonal programs across a city of 2.7 million people. Getting Chicago residents to actually show up to those programs requires more than a flyer — it requires platform-native content that stops the scroll and makes the right program feel relevant to the right neighborhood. CPD needed social video that balanced institutional credibility with the energy of short-form content.
I produced spec content as part of a CPD content creator job application, developing the concept, script, and final edit independently from start to finish with no brief or production team. The deliverables were a branded seasonal reel and an educational video, both built to match CPD's established visual identity — official seal, branded color palette, and authentic park photography. Both videos were formatted for platform-native delivery on Instagram Reels and TikTok, with clear program information and a direct call to action built into the edit.
- Produced two complete spec videos independently — concept, script, and edit — without a brief or team
- Matched CPD's official visual identity: seal, color palette, and park photography
- Formatted for platform-native delivery on Instagram Reels and TikTok
- Demonstrates ability to produce institutional social content at a professional standard without client direction
